Leo the Lion - singer, songwriter, producer and actor achieved critical acclaim and widespread success as part of multi-platinum selling act THE STREETS with MIKE SKINNER. Leo first tasted UK Chart success when The Streets single "Dry Your Eyes" reached Number 1 spot on the single chart in 2004. Leo's subsequent contributions to the Number One selling albums "A Grand Don't Come for Free" and " The Hardest way to make an easy living" secured his credibility amongst media and peers, culminating in a BRIT Awards appearance in 2006 alongside Mike. During his time in The Streets, Leo performed to adoring fans around the globe on sell-out tours, as well as headlining V Festival and Reading Festival.
Leo has always kept an eye on collaborations and most notably he teamed up with UK rapper KANO on the single "Nine Nite" which became an instant classic. Since the break up of The Streets, Leo has been recording his sensational solo debut album "Big Trouble in London" which is a dynamic twelve song compilation of gripping story telling, funky tribal beats and infectious vocal melodies that without is destined to be a classic.
Leo said: "I grew up in London and have experienced lots of things here, things that I have seen on the streets, at home, at school and even on the news. All of this has happened in London and I just wanted to talk about these experiences."
In 2012 Leo performed a marathon 24 GIGS IN 24 HOURS across London to raise awareness for The Prince's Youth Trust..
"I wanted to do something crazy and fun...performing is fun and doing 24 gigs in 24 hours was just crazy... but I did it!"
This year Leo The Lion will be hitting the road with his band.
